Debrah Forbis

Debrah Jean Forbis, 70, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on November 6, 2022.

Debrah “Debbie” was born on August 10, 1952 in Carrollton, Missouri to Wayne and Helen Abel. She graduated from Carrolton High School, then later moved to the Kansas City area. She was first married in 1970. Meridith was born in 1973. It was in Kansas City, in 1979, that she was introduced to Terry Forbis whom she married in 1983. Debbie worked in banking for many years and then switched careers, working in the medical field as an administrator until she retired. When she wasn’t working she cherished the time spent with her family. She especially enjoyed taking trips all across the United States with her husband during the week of July 4th to honor the veteran helicopter pilots who served during the Vietnam War.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Helen Abel; and brother, David Abel. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Terry; daughter, Meridith (Chris) Lamb; grandchildren, Jamie and Zane; brother: Dennis Abel of Carrollton, MO; and many extended family and friends, including her sisters in law: Joy Juhl, and Donna Klocek.

Services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Tuesday, November 15th, with visitation from 12pm-1pm, funeral service at 1:00pm, and burial following.
