David Gwyn

David N. Gwyn, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 19, 2022.  He was born September 25, 1939, in Sterling, Colorado to the late William and Gertrude (Morgan) Gwyn.

The foundation of David’s life was his faith and his family. He was a devoted father and Husband to Genevieve for nearly 64 years and always a guide, a teacher, and a life trainer to his sons. He was a gifted craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and fixing things around the house. He worked for more than 36 years as a machinist on the initial guidance systems for TWA airlines. David was also a bone and tissue donor, a testament to his selfless living.

He is survived by his wife Genevieve, sons James and Timothy Gwyn. Grandchildren Tanner and Ellen Gwyn; brothers Charles (the late Jeanie) and John (Judy) Gwyn; sisters-in-law Diana (Wes) Penrose and Joyce Dick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Virginia Kraus.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM all at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th street, Kansas City, MO. interment will follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s memory may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church .
