David Gray

David A. Gray, 83, of Kansas City, MO died at home on March 16, 2018. He was born in Pleasant Hill, MO to the late Simon A. and Lottie F. (Aker) Gray on May 9, 1934.

David graduated from Pleasant Hill High School, and served in the U.S. Army for 2 years, he then worked for Braniff Airlines for 23 years of service until the company folded, and then started David’s Tree Service, which he continued to run for the next 30 years. He was a faithful member of Clay County Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Cynthia Gray, Daughter Bonnie (Wesley) Wilson, Son Kenneth (Monika) Gray, Grandchildren Jasmine, Lottie, Samarrah, Iolani and Amelia. Sisters Marilyn (the late Robert) Grubbs, and Shirley (Calvin) Kost; and many other extended and adopted family.

A gathering of friends and family will be Monday, March 26, 2018, at Clay County Christian Church, 1200 State Hwy B, Liberty, MO 64068, from 1:30 PM until the time of service at 2:30 PM.  The family will also receive friends at the church from 6-8 PM Monday.
