David Engle

David James Engle entered the gates of Heaven on January 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Glenn Engle and Selma Korff on July 07, 1944. He married the love of his life, Kathleen Marie Kneisel, on December 20, 1969.

Dave graduated from the Iowa State University, where he received his Associates degree. He was employed as an inspector and a member of the Local Chapter of American Public Works Association. He served as Treasurer of the National Association of Model Railroads (NMRA), serving the Mid-Continent region. He was a dedicated Unit Commissioner for the Heart of America Boy Scouts, in the North Star district, and a member of the National Association of S-Gaugers. Dave was a proud member of the King of Kings Lutheran church for over fifty years.

He will always be remembered as a man who never met a stranger. You could often see Dave waving to you as he passed by. He was great at giving directions and well known for his humorous dad jokes. Dave was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will truly be missed by those that loved him.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Dennis C. Engle.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; two sons: Dan (Kandee) Engle, and Joe (Nicci) Engle; as well as his four grandchildren: Joey, Spencer, Sophee, and Skyler.
