Darlene Logan, daughter of the late Marvin & Dorene (Nesbitt) Page, was born on February 20, 1939 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO and departed this life on August 12, 2018 in North Kansas City, MO. At the time of her passing she was 79 years, 5 months and 23 days of age.

Darlene attended Sweeny Elementary and Westport High School, graduating in 1957. She participated in Choir, clothing design, and the Dana Literary Society of which she was the 1957 beauty queen. During her high school years she worked at Zesto Drive In on Westport Rd. After High School she attended and graduated from Draughn College of Commerce with a Business Degree. After graduation she began work at Vess Cola Company, Westport Bank and Wyeth Laboratories.

Darlene Page was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Logan on March 7, 1958 and to this union two children were born, both whom survive her. Shortly after they were married they moved to Little Rock, Arkansas while Chuck was working for the Arkansas State Highway Department. While in Little Rock their first child, Dennis, was born.

Together they moved back to Kansas City in September of 1959 when Chuck began working for the City of Kansas City, KS. In 1962 they moved to Gladstone where their second child, Leslie, was born in 1966. She was the church secretary for First Christian Church in North K.C for 10 years. She then attended and graduated from Trinity Lutheran School of Nursing in 1978 as Valedictorian of her class. After graduation she worked for Liberty Hospital for 10 years, McDonagh Medical Center, and for podiatrist Dr. Chris Guerrieri.

In October of 1992, they started a Civil Engineering and Surveying business, Logan & Associates, in Liberty where she served as Vice President and Treasurer. Together than operated this business for 18 years.

She was an avid reader and Toll painter. She also enjoyed Quilling, sewing and bowling. Together, Darlene and Chuck, they were involved in the Gladstone Jaycees for 9 years.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Marvin. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Logan of 60 years; her children, Dennis (Lisa) Logan and Leslie (Daniel) Spiteri; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and Puggie, her adored K-9 companion for the past 8 years. She also leaves behind many friends and family who will all truly miss her.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church of North Kansas City, MO with Pastor Trish Winters and Dr. Bob Magee officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Terrace Park Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Curtis Myers, Logan McColm, Adam Spiteri, Dennis Logan, Dan Spiteri and Jack Grimes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Landon Spiteri and Justin Karleski. Interment will take place in Terrace Park Cemetery. The family has asked that everyone wear something purple in memory of Darlene.
