Daniel Ziegler

Daniel John Ziegler, 65, passed away peacefully, surrounded my his family on March 10th, 2022.

Dan was born June 1st, 1956 in Quebec, Canada and soon after was adopted by Joe and Rita Ziegler. Dan spent his first 6 years of life in Plymouth, Indiana and then moved to Kansas City, Missouri.

Dan married his high school sweetheart in 1975 and had three children. He loved his family and spent his weekends with them either at the ball fields, the lake, local festivals, or anywhere else he thought his kids would enjoy.

Dan was an amazing and proud grandfather. His grandchildren called him “Poppy”, and soon it turned into a nickname used by many. Dan loved taking his grandchildren on little adventures and teaching them different ways to get into mischief.

Dan is survived by his wife Ginny Ziegler, his sons Dan (Tamara) Ziegler and Jimmy (Sarah) Ziegler, his daughter Nicki (Logan) Ziegler, his grandchildren Leelynn, Zack, Kaden, Avery, Landon, London, and Cooper, his brother Joe (Mary) Ziegler, his nephew Michael, and his niece Maria. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Rita Ziegler.

Services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Saturday, March 19, 2022, with a visitation from 10- 11am, followed by the funeral service at 11am and burial with military honors.
