Craig L. Miller, 72, of Kearney, MO passed away May 28, 2016 with his family by his side. Craig was born Feb. 8, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Anita H. and Richard H. Miller. The family moved to Overland Park, KS in 1962 and Craig attended Kansas City University and then Kansas State University. He graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture.
Craig met Nancy Kvaternik at a wedding in 1964. They dated for 3 years and then were married February 3, 1967. Craig worked for Yoder Brothers in Akron, Ohio and Alva, Florida for several years. They moved back to the Kansas City area in 1972. Craig and Nancy started Sun Point Nursery and enjoyed working together in the greenhouse and nursery for several years. In later years, Craig worked for Mr. Turf Sod Company and at Home Depot. After retirement, he began selling on line and was able to continue his love of shopping at auctions, estate sales and garage sales.
Craig leaves his wife Nancy; son, Chris; daughter, Julie (Adam) and grandchildren.
Visitation will be Fri. June 3, 2016 from 10-11 AM at Mt. Olivet Christian Church, 13120 Mt. Olivet Rd., Smithville, MO with services following at 11 AM at the church. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations to Immacolata Manor in Liberty, MO or Mt. Olivet Christian Church in Smithville, MO.
