Connie Irene Lager, 60 of Kansas City, MO, died at home on June 28, 2015. She was born in Maryville, MO on November 19, 1954 to James R. and Patricia A. (O’Connor) Dougherty.
Connie was full of life, loved all kinds of dancing, traveling seeing and smelling the ocean; she was a “wonder woman” at AFLAC for more than 22 years. She was passionate about her work and those she worked with. She married Joe Zezza November 8, 2014.
In addition to being a loving daughter and wife, she was the dear mother of Mindy (Tim) Skidmore and Kyle Lager; cherished grandmother of Tyson, Morgan, Macey, Kash, and Kane. Dear sister of John (Debbie) Dougherty, Kim (Donnie) Welch, Diane Baker and Robin (Jerry) Holmes.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11 AM at the Shoal Creek Community Church 6816 S Church Rd, Pleasant Valley, MO 64068. Interment will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
