Colin Lane Caldwell, 77, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on October 15, 2022.
Colin was born in Santa Monica, California on March 6, 1945 to parents, Edgar and Virginia Caldwell. He graduated from Hart High School in Newhall, CA. It was not long after graduating that he enlisted in the United States Army, where he spent 3 years serving in combat oversees during the Vietnam War. Colin spent much of his professional career working in the insurance industry and he even owned his own agency under Farmers Insurance for 12 years. The most important aspect of his life was his relationship with his Lord and Savior. Colin received his Master’s degree in Divinity and became an ordained minister. He and his wife, Krista, cherished the time they spent sharing their ministry. They shared their fellowship and knowledge of the Bible with the women at the Topeka Correctional Facility and well as with their congregation at Church of the King Cathedral. Colin also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially while boating at Smithville Lake.
Colin is preceded in death by his parents. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, Krista; children, Lisa (Ron) Goldberg and Kevin (Miri) Caldwell; grandchildren, Christian, Carson, Lacey, and Landyn; sister, Sherie (Warren) Gustafson, nephews; and beloved, golden retriever, Sophia.
A Memorial Service will be held at Church of the King Cathedral, 728 N Stevenson St, Olathe, KS 66061, on Saturday, October 22 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
