Clauis was a fighter who never let his medical issues dampen his spirit. With the unwavering support of his family by his side, he faced every challenge head-on and emerged stronger each time. Their love and encouragement were instrumental in giving him the strength to overcome any obstacle that crossed his path.
Throughout his life, Clauis found solace and happiness in traveling and cooking. Beyond his personal interests, Clauis had an insatiable curiosity about the world. He always stayed informed about current events and enjoyed engaging in discussions about politics and social trends.
As a man of Christian faith, Clauis embodied values of kindness, forgiveness, and love. His unwavering belief in God guided him through both the darkest times and moments of triumph.
Before dedicating himself to food service, Clauis served in the army. His military service reflected his commitment to serving others and making a difference in their lives.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Louie and Liddie Mae Alexander; daughter: Stephanie Marie Alexander; brother: Joseph Fulson, Sr. ; and brother in law: Raymond Lacey.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Marcia Walker-Alexander; children: Claudia “Chanel'’ (Deacon) Barrett, and Sheila Alexander (Vincent); step children: Michael (Amanda) Baker, Stephanie (Lainie) Baker, April (Josh) Moore; grandchildren: Tony, Michael, Keyvin, Kylin, McKayla, and Alexavier; and step grandchildren: Brayden, Aurora, and Logan; brother: Jerry Glover; sister: Patricia Lacey; and his dog: Sunny Eugene
