Clara Nadine Vaughn

Clara Nadine Vaughn, beloved Gram and cherished member of her family, passed away on December 24, 2023. She was born on January 10, 1932. Clara was an extraordinary woman who touched the lives of everyone she met with her warm heart and infectious smile.

A wonderful baker, Clara found immense joy in creating beautiful wedding cakes and decorating them with intricate designs. Her passion for baking extended beyond the kitchen; it was a reflection of her kind and nurturing nature. 

But Clara's true joy came from being a Gram. Spending time with her family was the highlight of her life. She poured her love and attention into each grandchild, creating lasting memories that will forever be treasured. Whether it was baking cookies together or sharing stories at the kitchen table, Clara made every moment with her loved ones an occasion to be celebrated.

In addition to her exceptional talent in the kitchen and devotion to her family, Clara will be remembered for her unwavering faith in the Lord. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Independence, MO. 

Preceding Clara in passing, was her husband, Leonard Vaughn, and her parents. As well as other family members.

She is survived by her loving children: Cecil (Barbara) Omstead, and Cynthia Patterson; grandchildren: Paul (Missi) Omstead, Rachel (Dan) Pope, Michael Hall, and Keri (Don) Presley; and great grandchildren: Morgan, Bennett, Danny, Annie, Justin, Dustin, Tyler, Brett, and Sara; as well as many other family and friends.
