Clara "Grace" Reed, 70, of Smithville, Mo passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 11, 2016. Memorial services are 11:00 am Tuesday February 16th at Terrace Park Cemetery Lakeside Chapel, with visitation 10:30 - 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Grace Reed Memorial Fund in care of Andrew Reed Sr.
Grace was born November 9, 1945 in Brookfield, Mo to John St. Clair and Bernice Marie (Tremain) Correll. She was a graduate of Marceline High School. She attended Platte City Baptist Church, loved reading Agatha Christie murder mysteries and collecting porcelain dolls. She held various jobs at Whitaker Cable in Brookfield and Lexington, drove a taxi in Lexington, and worked 10 years for Mo Gas Energy in Kansas City, Mo. Grace lived in Gladstone, Mo with her husband for 26 years before moving to Smithville, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Andrew J. (Joe) Reed Jr. Survivors include her husband, Andrew J. Reed Sr., daughter, Leigh Ann Reed, grandchildren, Andrew (Drew) Reed III, Jonathon Reed, Ashley Reed, Shaeleigh Reed, and 2 sisters, Joan Martin and Thresa Sportsman.
