Cheryl Jean (Blackburn) Beaver was born to the late Carl and Norma (Plemmons) Blackburn on October 16, 1950 in Waynesville, Missouri and died at the age of 71 on April 16, 2022, surrounded by family.
Following graduation from Platte County R-3 in 1968, Cheryl moved to Maryville, Missouri to attend college. While there, she discovered a love of refinishing furniture. Eventually Cheryl would move back to Kansas City and worked several years at KCI airport in security before joining the family business. Cheryl worked as a painter for Blackburn Construction until retiring in 2015.
Cheryl loved family and spoiling all the kids. She loved family gatherings, bowling, the lake, crossword puzzles, going thrifting, antiques, coke memorabilia, and taking off on road trips.
Cheryl leaves behind a son, Chris (Amy) Beaver; grandson, Christopher Beaver; sister, Rhonda (Loyd) King, three brothers, Jackie (Reveille) Blackburn, Jim (Kathy) Blackburn, and John (Stacie) Blackburn; along with a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Cheryl's life will be celebrated at Terrace Park Funeral Home on Friday, April 22, with visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., immediately followed by the funeral and graveside services.
