Charles Myers

Charles B. Myers, Jr., 83, lifelong resident of North Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at his home and went to be with Jesus on Friday, September 3, 2021. Charles was born January 21, 1938, in Claycomo, the son of the late Charles B. Myers, Sr. and the late Dorothy (Reed) Porter.

Charles was a member of Heart and Soul Pentecostal Church and had a strong relationship with the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, and began working at a grocery store at a young age to support his mother and younger siblings. From a sack boy to a produce manager, Charles’ career spanned fifty years. He worked at Williams United Super for forty years and other area grocery stores after Williams closed.

Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife Pamela (Reed) Myers of the home; daughter Christina Myers of the home; daughter, Phyllis Moller and husband Richard of Harrisonville; daughter Patricia Shelton of Newport, Arkansas; son Michael Myers, Sr. of Little Rock, Arkansas. Grandchildren, Eric Myers of Harrisonville; Tristan Rudd, Misty Myers, Michael Myers, Jr., and Amy Shelton, all of Newport, Arkansas; Great-grandchildren, Cayden Jefferson, Shayla Short, Kaylynn Guthrie, Scotty Guthrie III, and Addelyn Myers, all of Newport, Arkansas.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, David Myers, Floranne (Myers) Todd, and Clyde Myers.

Services for Charles will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Thursday, September 9. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm, and the funeral will be at 2:00 pm with burial immediately following.
