Charles M. Lott, 81, of Smithville, Mo. (formerly of Texas) passed way November 9, 2015. Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Friday November 13th at Terrace Park Funeral Home (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek Prkwy), with visitation preceding services from 11:00 – 12:30 pm. Burial with full military honors will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Smithville American Legion Post # 58.
Charles was a proud Air Force veteran, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 21 years of service to his country. He was a certified automotive technician and later a truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Charles had a great sense of humor, who always enjoyed telling a good story. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Antoinette, 2 brothers, David and Dudley, 2 sisters in law, Sylvia and Barbara, and just 1 month ago, his wife, Janice. Survivors include his children, Charlotte Sandage, and husband, Hal, David Lott, and wife, Jeannie, C.J. Peterson, and wife, Beverly, Brigette Lott, Charlie Lott, and wife, Sara, 3 brothers, James Lott, George Lott, and wife, Betty, Bill Lott, and wife, Pam, 16 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
