Charles Butterworth

CHARLES THOMAS BUTTERWORTH

Tom Butterworth 79, of Kansas City, MO died at home on Saturday, February 11, 2017.  He was born in Greensburg, PA on August 26, 1937, to the late James and Gladys (Shetler) Butterworth.

Tom worked for Ford Motor Company for 35 years, he loved gardening, cooking and was able to fix just about anything; he and Jane visited all 50 states, most on their motorcycles. They enjoyed camping mostly to Mark Twain Lake. He was a regular at VFW Post 5606 and was the past president of the 2-Wheelers Motorcycle club. In retirement, he never met a stranger; he was the most social guy in the campground and the neighborhood.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary Jane; daughters Vicky (Randy) Dean, Lori (Chris) Stone, Cathy Butterworth and Connie (Shelly Swartz) Butterworth. He is also survived by his beloved dog Lacey, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 4 siblings.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 11 AM until time of service at 12 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
