Carolyn Thomson

Carolyn Sue Thomson, 77, of Gladstone, MO passed away on Saturday, November 7th, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born on January 29th, 1943 in Mountain View, Missouri to Lester and Juanita (Fowler) Payne.

Carolyn attended and graduated from Park Hill High School in 1961 in K.C., MO.  She loved fashion, dancing and listening to music; she won a dance contest once as well as a Bathing Beauty contest in 1960 where she won the title of “Miss Kernodle” at Lake Kernodle.  But Carolyn’s most important and biggest win in life was when she married her high school sweetheart, Bob on March 16, 1963 in Parkville, MO. Together they shared a love like no other and were married for 49 years. During that time, Carolyn for the most part was a stay at home mother and homemaker in which she greatly enjoyed doing; she always took such good care of her family and home with much pride.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents Lester and Juanita; her sister, Shirley; and her brother, Donald.  She will be forever loved and remembered by her children Shane, Tanya and husband Mike, and her 3 grandchildren, Sloane, Keaton and Kaelyn.
