Carolyn Joan O'Neal

Carolyn “Joan” O’Neal, 84, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. Visitation will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW Shoal Creek Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64155 on Thursday, February 27th from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th at 10AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home with graveside at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery to follow.

Joan was married to her loving husband, Ronnie, for over 50 years. Throughout her life, Joan was a clerk for Burlington Northern Railroad Co. She enjoyed activities such as sewing, crocheting, baking, reading, going to the lake and camping; as well as traveling with her husband after retirement.

She was alongside her husband through many fun outings as Mrs. Claus. She was delighted in the excitement of Christmas and loved to bring joy to the hearts of children.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Letitia Brochman; husband of fifty years: Ronnie O’Neal; and granddaughter: Christina O’Neal.

She is survived by her children: Curtis (Teresa) O’Neal, and Heather (Michael) Anderson; grandson: Colin Anderson; and siblings: John Brochman, Judy Brochman, and Jackie Bernhards.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Joan’s memory.
