Carolyn Gaskill

Carolyn Joyce Gaskill, 87, of North Kansas City, Missouri passed away on September 19, 2019.

Carolyn was born on July 24, 1932 in Polo, Missouri to James and Cleola Tinsley. She graduated from Lathrop High School in 1949. Caroyln worked as a secretary for a handful of companies including a construction company where she met her best friend and husband of 51 years, Jim Gaskill. They were married on August 31, 1968. The most important job and what she did for most of her adulthood was caring for her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who meant the world to her. Many fond memories were made spending time with family in Branson and at the Lake of the Ozarks. She also enjoyed working on crafts and sewing. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James Tinsley and Laban "Huck" Baldwin. She is survived by her husband, Jim Gaskill; children, Jennifer (Carl) Croan and Laura (Roger) Umphenour; grandchildren, Kelly (Jason) Whitfield and Hayley (Shane) Coon; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ally, Sydney, Megan, and Caitlyn; and great-great grandchildren, Ella Mae and Avery Jay. Services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Monday, October 7th with a visitation beginning at 1:00pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm and burial.
