Carole Jane Eimer

September 13, 1942 — May 28, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carole Eimer, who departed this life on May 28th in Jacksonville, FL. She was 81 years old.

Carole was born on September 13, 1942, in Harrison, Arkansas to Hugh and Anna Taylor. She was the youngest of three, having an older brother Eugene and sister Dorothy. Carole graduated from Neosho, Mo. High School in 1961 and then married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Francis, in October 1962 after getting her beauticians diploma from Jefferson City, MO. They moved to St. Louis, Missouri and then to Topeka, Kansas where their son, Bill Francis was born in September, 1965. A few months later, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Jerry worked for the Rock Island Railroad and Carole worked at a plumbing company as an office administrator. Their marriage ended after 7 years.

According to her written testimony, Carole confessed, believed, and received Jesus as her Lord and Savior at 3:00 am one fall day in her Kansas City townhome in 1970.

Carole’s second marriage to Robert (Bob) Eimer in 1973 lasted 34 years until Bob passed away from an aortic aneurysm. Their life together was fulfilled in ministries through their church and raising two sons, Jay Eimer and Bill Francis. Spending time on the family farm and traveling for family reunions and fishing trips were also rewarding.

After Bob’s passing, Carole remained in her Kansas City home for 8 more years until her debilitating stroke on March 17th, 2015. She ended up making a miraculous recovery and was able to live independently as well as drive again four years later. Her church family of 30 years from the Rock of KC pastored by Phillip O’Reilly, as well as friends made over the years, came to her aid and were invaluable to her recovery.

In the summer of 2020, she made the move to Jacksonville, Florida to be closer to her son Bill and his family which included two great granddaughters Olivia and Amelia. Four years of holidays and birthdays were enjoyed together with many pictures to remember. She loved playing games like scrabble and dominos and cooking for family and friends.

Creekside Christian Church, pastored by Chuck Peterman, was her Jacksonville church home where she served faithfully until her last days.

Carole is survived by: Bill Francis and wife Sharon in Jacksonville, FL. Granddaughter Brandi Smith and husband Zack in Ponte Vedra, FL with Great Granddaughters Olivia and Amelia Smith. Jay’s wife Kathy Eimer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Granddaughters Charis White and husband Seth in Collinsville, OK. and Constance Kern and husband Jonathan in Oklahoma City, OK.
