Carol (McDougall) Tinsley

Carol Mavis Tinsley, 78, passed away at her home on April 12, 2012. Carol was a member of Northgate Baptist Church. She and her husband, David were Co-President and Vice-President of Heart of America Federation of Square Dance Clubs, Inc. and belonged to multiple square dance clubs. She was, also, a member and Treasurer of Friends of Lakeside Nature Center. Carol was a square dancer for 22 years. She loved fishing and camping and rehabilitating small animals, primarily baby squirrels.  She enjoyed beading and jewelry making, needlework and sewing. She and David traveled extensively. Carol had her private pilot's license. She flew with the "99'ers" and participated in plane races.  Carol is survived by her husband, David Tinsley; children, Marvin, Dan and John Pool, Debra "Nici" and husband, Rob Allen, Becca Mayhugh and David W. Tinsley; sister, Sandi and husband, Zane Wickham; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16 at Northgate Baptist Church; 800 N.E. Vivion Rd; Kansas City, MO 64118. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15 at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home.
