Carmin E. Young, (72), loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in Kansas City, MO.
Born September 18, 1943, in Bucklin, MO, her parents – the late Ralph and Frances Cunningham – instilled in her a great sense of and commitment to time-honored Midwestern values. She was a small lady with a big presence and even bigger heart. Honest, caring and giving, she always made time for those in need. An avid traveler, she enjoyed the great outdoors and visiting with friends and family. Mizzou sports and Royals baseball were always on – even during the hubbub of playing cards and games with family.
Carmin was the wonderful wife of more than 46 years to Luke Young, beloved mother of Michael Young, Travis (Erin) Young and Creighton (Mistie) Young, and grandmother of Adelise Young with another granddaughter arriving in December. She is the dear sister of Wayne (Sue) Cunningham, and the late Fred Cunningham. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Wanda (the late Bill) Ritchie, Lu (Jerry) Gerling, Carolyn (Garry) Trachsel and Mary (Douglas) Sizemore.
Fr. Joseph Cisetti will celebrate a memorial mass at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Highway 9, Kansas City, MO 64152, on MONDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2015 at 11 AM, with a gathering beginning at 10 AM. Inurnment will be private.
