Carl L. Moyer, 58, of Kansas City (North), MO passed away March 22, 2019 at North Kansas City Hospital surrounded by family.
Carl was born February 25, 1961 in Omaha, NE to Carl and Norma Moyer. He was raised in Thurman, IA and attended Fremont Mills School K-12. He was a standout athlete in baseball, football, wrestling and track. He also participated in theater and chorus. On a baseball scholarship, he attended Sioux Empire, Jr. College, in Hawarden, IA coached by Bob Cerv. He also attended Iowa Western Community College. As a 20-year-old, Carl later moved to Kansas City to be closer to this brother and pursue his music career. After several long and successful years in music, he started his own home construction company, Moyer Masterpieces. Later in life, he specialized in his HVAC company, Blue Collar Heating and Cooling.
Carl was an avid sports fan always cheering on his Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and especially loved his Iowa Hawkeyes. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed. He loved everyone and was willing to put everyone else’s needs before his own and always did it with a smile.
He is preceded in passing by his parents. He is survived by his children, Dustin Moyer, Bret (Savannah) Moyer, Carly (Fiance Adam Vesecky) Moyer, Clayton (Megan) Moore and Blake (Eva) Moore, all of Kansas City; his beloved grandchildren, Dylan and Lillian Moyer, Cayden, Carson and Chandler Moore; his brother, Frank (Cindy) Moyer of Kansas City; his nephews, Chris, Josh and Ryan Moyer; and his nieces, Natalie Moyer and Michelle Chaney Campbell. He also leaves behind several great nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will all truly miss him.
