Carl Foltz

Carl Lee Foltz, 86, of Claycomo, Missouri, died at Pleasant Valley Manor on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. He was born January 8, 1932 in Bardolph, Illinois to the late Ralph and Dorothy (Eddington) Foltz.

Carl was a railroad man, working as a Electronic Technician for Burlington Northern for 43 years; after retiring he remained active with the Burlington Northern Veterans Association. He loved working in his garden, playing softball, teaching Sunday School and was a Deacon at Claycomo Baptist Church. He also served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  Of all his accomplishments he was most proud of his family and his 65 years of marriage to Marilyn.

He was the loving husband of Marilyn (Gustavson) Foltz; dear dad of Marvin (Cynthia) Foltz, Raymond (Laurie) Foltz, Mark (Cheryl) Foltz, Carol (Patrick) Fish and Marguerite (Donald) Underwood.  Cherished grandpa of Peter, Michael, Sarah, Carl, Paul, Emily, Abbey, Robert, Ryan, Matthew and Isabelle; great-grandpa of Penelope. Beloved brother of Sherrill (the late Jack) Nevins and Janet (Jerry) Stella.  He is also survived by a large extended family.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 AM, Monday, April 9, 2018 at Claycomo Baptist Church 312 E Longfellow St, Kansas City, MO 64119.  Funeral service will be Monday at 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow the service at Terrace Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church Building Fund. Share online condolences at TerraceParkFuneral.com.
