Betty Hader Hoback Green, 95, passed away on June 7, 2021. Betty was born to Herbert and Lilly Hader in Lafayette County, Missouri (near Higginsville) on September 22, 1925 where she lived until after High School. Then she moved to Kansas City, MO and lived with her sister, Virginia Bloshko.
She went to work as a clerical bookkeeper and in the course of a few years took a position at Electronic Business Equipment as the office manager. She was employed there until 1990 when she retired, after having been there 34 years. She then went to work, part-time, in a CPA office and worked there until one week prior to marrying Harold Green in 1994.
Betty was married in 1950 to Vernon Hoback, whom she met in Kansas City and they were together until 1987 when he passed away. She has a son, Stephen, who now lives in Pensacola, FL; a daughter, Jan, who lives in Liberty, MO and an adopted daughter, Kathy and adopted granddaughter, Kaylee.
Betty grew up in a Baptist family and came from a family of German heritage. She had two sisters, both of whom are deceased.
She enjoyed playing bridge, hand and foot, and Mexican Train. She was a sixty-eight-year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and recently received the Beta Sigma Phi award or achievement.
Betty was happily married to Harold Green for 20 years. She enjoyed traveling all over the country by automobile.
Betty kept the Church’s Memory Scrap Books in Sun Lakes, AZ and was Social Chairman for the church for six years. She served on the Church Governing Board for two years.
After living in Arizona for 17 years, Betty and Harold decided to come back to Missouri to be close to her children.
Betty will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and the many friends she made throughout her years.
