Betty H. Edwards, 81, of Kansas City North, lost her final battle with cancer and passed away at home on November 24, 2009. Betty was born to Charles and Ada Brown at the family home in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, April 1, 1928. She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Edwards; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Fern Brown of Nowata, OK; 3 sons, Larry and wife, Nancy Pollett of Independence, KS, Randy Pollett of Coffeyville, KS, Darrell Pollett of Hamburg, IA and 1 daughter, Pamela Cone and her husband, Wayne of Smithville, MO; step-children, Richard and Linda Edwards of Smithville, Mo and Cheryl Massey of Plattewoods, MO; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, 1 sister and her son, Dickie Ray Pollett. Betty was a member of several organizations which were; three time president of the Social Order of the Beauceant-Liberty, Eastern Star-Westport, Worthy Matron in the Ladies of the Amaranth-NKC and High Priestess of the Ladies Oriental Shrine-Eastgate. The family wishes to express gratitude to NorthCare Hospice, especially her blessed care givers, Jessica, Susanne and Qwen.
