Betty Butterfield

Betty L. Butterfield, 91, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at North Kansas City Hospital, surrounded by
her family. Betty was born on February 09, 1931, to the late Lon and Alma Blanche Castleberry.
She married the love of her life, Donald R. Butterfield, on July 4th, 1948. They were married for 71 years before his passing 4/23/2020.
From this marriage, they had two children: Bob and Donna.
Betty was a member of the Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church for over 40 years.
She was known as the baker of the house because of her love for cooking. Some of her specialty items were oatmeal raisin cookies, sweet potato casserole, Coca Cola Cake and Apple Crisp.  She was a wonderful
seamstress and was always making patchwork pillows, embroidered hoops, and custom crafts for those she loved, . Most of all, Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all of those who knew
her. She will always be remembered for her loving nature and kindness to others.
Betty will be fondly remembered, and greatly missed by her children: Bob (Rebecca) Butterfield and
Donna (Dave) Bateman; grandchildren: Emily (Kenny) Blaisdell, David (Casie) Bateman, Daniel Bateman,
Donovan (Michelle) Bateman; and great grandchildren: Tristan, Samantha, Maisy, Story,
Delilah, and Haven.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Her family was truly blessed to have her in their lives and they are happy knowing that she has received
her Heavenly wings and that they will meet again one day.
