BETTY JEAN AKERS
Betty Jean Akers, 80, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at her home on January 20, 2017. She was born December 9, 1936 in Kansas City, MO to the late Harry and Clara (Sanderelli) Harper.
Betty Jean was the kind of woman who was always prepared. She was always ready to go and went out looking for the best sales. She was a very outspoken woman, mother, housewife and best friend, and she was loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Betty Jean’s memory include her daughter, Judy Akers; son, Willie (Teresa) Akers; 8 grandchildren, Mike Akers, Crystal Akers, Tori Akers, Traci Akers, Nic Gentry, Madeline Gentry, Savannah Gentry, Lindsey Moszeter and 4 great-grandchildren, Cameron Akers, Abiodun Gentry-Robinson, Duke Brown and Callen Gentry Robinson.
Graveside services will be Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 1 PM. Family and friends will begin gathering at the Terrace Park Lakeside Chapel, 801 NW 108th Street, KCMO at 12:30 PM.
