Bette Anne Magee, a dedicated educator, passed away on March 25, 2024. She touched the lives of many through her work in adult specialized education and other teaching experiences. Born on November 30, 1938, Bette's journey came to a peaceful end in her home as she bid farewell to this world.
Throughout her life, Bette's passion for education shone brightly as she guided and supported countless individuals in achieving their academic goals. Her commitment to helping others reach their full potential was truly admirable and left a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Bette was a proud graduate with a bachelor’s degree and valued the importance of learning and growth. Her love for crafting served as a creative outlet.
Bette's vibrant personality was reflected in her unwavering devotion to the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Her enthusiasm for sports extended to the Platte City Pirates, Liberty North Eagles, Liberty Blue Jays, Augustana Wrestling, Mizzou and Park Softball where she found camaraderie and shared bonds with fellow fans. Gametime was so precious to Bette and debriefing after games brought her much joy as well. Despite her busy schedule, she always made time for family, cherishing moments spent together and creating treasured memories that will be forever cherished.
Beyond her love for sports and family, Bette reveled in trips to the ocean whenever possible, relished visits to the East Coast to reunite with friends, and would enjoy reading a good book while snuggling with her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Betty Jane Papke; and her husband: Thomas Fred Magee; as well as her siblings: Jerry Papke, Larry Papke, and Lauretta Lucien.
Survivors include her children: Jef (Julie) Magee, and Kimberly (Kenneth) Lenger,Jr; as well as her five grandchildren: Clarissa (Dillion), Lauren, Halle, Kenneth, and Kayley.
