Beth Shapiro

Beth Marie Ferren Shapiro, 66, of Kansas City, died unexpectedly December 8th, 2021, at her residence.

She was born July 19th, 1955, in Shawnee Oklahoma, the daughter of Dallas and Maxine Scroggins.

Beth graduated from Key west Florida high school, class of 1973.  Following graduation, she pursued a career in retail sales.  In 1977 she married Terry Shapiro and they have two sons together.  Timothy Lee Shapiro and Jonathan David Shapiro.  She had six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

We will always remember how generous mom was. Mom would always go out of her way for others. Especially her sons. Being picked up from school with either a happy meal or a new toy. Or sometimes both. Despite dad saying no more new toys. I’m surprised to this day she had enough room in her chest for the size of heart she had. Her heart beat because of her kids, and the abundance of memories with her will remain with us forever. Mom would never turn down a hug and would never let you turn down a hug from her. She was the epitome of a boy mom who loved to cook and proud of her family.

A service of remembrance will be held 5:30 p.m. Saturday, December 18th at Fellowship of Grace church, 8501 Tom Watson parkway., Parkville, MO.  Arrangements by Terrace Park funeral Home & cemetery, 801 N.W. 108th street Kansas City, MO 64155
