Berniece Torgerson

Berniece Elizabeth Torgerson, 94, of Springfield, MO passed away on July 24, 2021.

Berniece was born on September 28, 1926 in Henning, MN to Reuben and Charlotte Henderson. It was while she was working at a local feed store as an egg candler that she met her husband, Arvin Torgerson. From this marriage they had one son, Roger. Because of Arvin’s career, the family moved all around to various cities and towns, finally settling in the Kansas City area in 1965. In her spare time, Berniece enjoyed reading, but most important was spending time with her family. It was a few years ago that she moved to Springfield to be closer to them.

Berniece is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arvin Torgerson; and three brothers. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her son, Roger (Susan) Torgerson; grandchildren, Jason and Amber; and two sisters.
