Barrie Eddy

Barrie Leland Eddy, 71, of Independence, MO passed away April 30, 2014 at St. Luke's Northland Hospital. He was born April 24, 1943 in Milan, MO to Vernon A. Eddy and Marjorie L. (Abbott) Eddy. Barrie was a devoted and dedicated father, loving grandfather; husband, brother, uncle and cousin. He was an avid sports fan and lifelong KC Chiefs supporter. He enjoyed umpiring little league baseball games, golfing, fishing and shooting pool. He and his deceased wife, Trudy Eddy, enjoyed many years together traveling, playing as amateur pool tournament champions. He spent time with his grandchildren attending their after school activities; football, baseball, basketball and dance. Barrie is survived by daughters, Jill Eddy and Joy Cooper; brother, Clyde Eddy and wife, Loretta; sister, Beverly Beaver and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren, Isaiah Jones, Sara Milutin and Niecee Rivers. He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Trudy Eddy. His funeral service will be 11am, Monday, May 5th with visitation one hour prior at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Chapel, 801 NW 108th St. (Hwy 169 and Shoal Creek Pkwy)
