Avis Moor

Avis F. Moor, 85, passed away April 23, 2012. Avis was born in Cosby, MO and was raised on a farm near Savannah, MO before moving to Kansas City. She married Fred Moor and they built their home in Gladstone, MO and have lived there for over 50 years. Avis and Fred were active in their Church and with the Meals On Wheels program for more than 20 years.Avis was preceded in death by her parents, Orin and Flora (Kelly) Hower and sister, Shirley Ann Hower. She is survived by her husband, Fred Moor; son, Mark L. Moor; daughter, Cheryl (Thomas) Moore; 4 grandchildren, Jacob and Kelly Moor; Gavin and Jillian Moore and brother, Gene (Harriet) Hower.Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27 at Mount Moriah Terrace Park; visitation is one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
