Arthur R. Schroeder, 81, of Kansas City, MO passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was born December 7, 1935 in Kingman, Kansas to the late Arthur and Meredyth (Smith) Schroeder.
Over his 30 years of professional driving, Art drove for Greyhound Bus Line, he also drove for Russell Stover Candy and Dealers Transport. Later he drove a bus for North Kansas City School District and became a head custodian. It was estimated that he drove nearly 4 million miles without an accident or speeding ticket. He was a proud American, a friend and jokester to all. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Art is survived by his wife of 63 years Barbara Klamm; children Stephen (Sunny) Schroeder, Nancy (Rich) Schroeder, and Brian Schroeder; grandchildren Seth (Amber) Schroeder and Joseph (Nicole) Schroeder. Great-grandchildren, Noah, Ella, Raeleigh and Grace. Sister Mildred (Fred) Irwig, nephews Scott and Douglas Irwig.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 beginning at 1 PM; funeral service will be at 2 PM at St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riverside, MO Burial in St. Matthews Cemetery.
