Annie (Schuerger) McLees

January 7, 1939 — October 3, 2012

Annie Mae (Schuerger) McLees, 73, of Kansas City, MO passed away at home on October 3, 2012. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday October 7th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation preceding services 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Burial in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to NorthCare Hospice.  Annie was born in Wardell, MO and was the eldest of nine children born to George and Ruby Schuerger.  She also enjoyed the love of Ruby's special friend and second husband, Richard.   Annie graduated from Van Horn High School in 1957 where she was a member of the Glee Club and COE.  She married Ed McLees on August 15, 1957.  She spent the first 18 years of marriage raising their family as a military homemaker in far away places like Iceland while Ed was   at sea or other duties that took him away from home.  Annie was a member of the Coast Guard Wives Club and the Bearing Sea Patrol Alaska Veterans.  She and Ed made many lifetime friends with those they were stationed with.    She was a successful realtor for 25 years.  She was known for her integrity and working to solve the needs of her many repeat clients.  She was a proud member of the million dollar real estate club. Annie lived a full and joyous life.      She was preceded in death by her son James, brother George Vincent, and sister Connie Ruth.  Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Ed, son Fred (Luz), Daughter Leslie (Randy), and son Robert (Carolyn); grandchildren Megan, Kaitlin, Jeffrey (Chelsea), Oscar, Alex, Kelsie, Scott, Hanna, Rachel, Jake; great-grandchildren Leyla, Jaeden, Carroll, Corbin.  She is also survived by her loving sisters June, Georgia, Sandy, Sue, Sonnie, Judy and many nieces and nephews.
