Anne Howard Anderson
Anne passed into eternal life at the age of 98 1/2 Monday September 21, 2015 at home in Gladstone surrounded by her loving family.  She attended St. Vincent’s Academy and Kansas City Business College.  During WWII, her contributions included participating at USO dances, where she met her future husband.  Prior to her marriage, she worked in the offices of several auto dealerships in midtown KC. Post war years found Anne happily married with a growing family.  She enjoyed rambunctious card playing with her family and was always at the heart of the action, whether with family or friends.  She was a lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church.  In recent years, Anne attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and James J. Howard, her eight brothers, two sisters and grandson, Luke Mahan.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Arthur Anderson; sister-in-law Vivian Howard; children: Jo-Anne and John Vogl, Phillip Anderson, Margret Syrett Anderson, Barbara and Bill DeSmet, Janet and Joseph Flannery, Kristina Bell, Stephen and Cindy Anderson, Mary and Steve Mahan; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Friday September 25th at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane, Kansas City, Mo. Visitation with the rosary will be Thursday 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 169 Hwy & Shoal Creek Prkwy. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the church or Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas Hospice. On line condolences may be left at TerraceParkFuneral.com
