Anna Mae “Judy” Combs, 90, of Independence, Missouri, died at her home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. She was born March 10, 1926 in Dalhart, Texas to the late William Parks and Lizzie Pabst Parks Mickens.
She retired from the Social Security Administration, where she was a data entry operator; previously she worked as a supervisor for the Associated Grocers. She was also a past member of the order of Easter Star. She and her husband Donald were married February 14, 1947.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 70 years Donald Combs, children; Carol Combs and Robin (Rick) Rother; grandchildren; Roy Rother, Matt (Crystal) Rother and Lindsay Downing; and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Anna Mae was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
Funeral service will be Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Private interment in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice Foundation, 1500 Meadow Lake Parkway, Suite 200, Kansas City, MO 64114.
