Andrew Ryan Shoemaker, 29 of Kansas City, Missouri was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 3rd, 2012. Visitation will be held from 9-11am, Saturday, January 7th at Christ Lutheran Church in Plattewoods, Missouri. Funeral Services will follow immediately after visitation in the church at 11am, and a procession to graveside services from the church to Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery at 12 noon. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church. Andrew was born December 11, 1982 in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Platte County High School in 2001 and served in the US Army. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. and was employed with Ballard Remodeling Co. He was a full time student at Maple Woods College, where he planned to earn a degree in computer science. Andrew was an athlete and enjoyed baseball, football and golf. Most recently he was named MVP for his football team, which he also managed. Andrew is preceded in death by his Paternal grandfather Lloyd M. Shoemaker and his Maternal grandfather Jack R. Nantz. Survivors include; mother, Jacquelyn Shoemaker and his father, Randall C. Shoemaker, Kansas City, MO. His twin sister, Karie Sedlak and her husband Mark of Kansas City, MO. Brother, Randy Shoemaker and his wife Brandi of Shawnee Mission, KS. Maternal grandparents, Bob and Darlene McConnell, Kansas City, MO and his paternal grandmother, Jean Mattewson Kansas City, MO. Andrew also leaves a host of many loving family members and friends. We cherish the love and the laughter you have given your family Andrew. You will always be in our hearts. Until we meet again, we give thanks and glory to God for our time with you here, our precious son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin.
