Amy Newport

Amy I. Newport, 53, was born May 10, 1967, at North Kansas City Hospital. She passed away from the Covid virus on November 5, 2020, also at North Kansas City Hospital. She lived all her life in the Northland area.

Amy attended Maple Woods and Davidson Elementary Schools, Northgate Junior High and Antioch Middle School. She graduated from North Kansas City High School, then obtained her bachelor’s degree from Park University.

At the time of her passing, Amy was employed by the Social Security Administration, and had been working from home.

Amy was a talented jewelry artist, an avid reader, and a creative baker.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna K. Newport, who also had the Covid virus. She is survived by her father, Larry Newport (Madge) of Gladstone, her sister, Lorrie Boydston of Kansas City, brother, Adam Newport (Alys) of Parkville, niece, Tara Boydston, nephew, Aidan Boydston, nephew, Luke Newport, and significant other, Joe Klopus.

Amy was cremated with inurnment at Terrace Park Cemetery. Because of the Covid Virus, a private family memorial remembrance will be held at a later date.

Amy will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
