Alice entered this world on March 1, 1943, and departed on May 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Alice's life was defined by her boundless love for her family and grandchildren, a sentiment that radiated from her gentle soul. Her role as a pillar of strength and source of affection within her family knew no bounds. Married to the love of her life, George, for an impressive 58 years, their union was a true testament to enduring love and partnership.
A woman of many talents and passions, Alice found solace in the simple pleasures of life. Whether she was whipping up delectable dishes in the kitchen or sharing meaningful conversations with those she held dear, Alice's presence exuded warmth and comfort. Despite her quiet demeanor, she possessed a feisty spirit that shone through in moments of laughter and joy.
For 22 years, Alice was a cherished member of LifeBridge Baptist Church, where her faith illuminated the path for all who crossed her way. Her devotion to her spiritual community mirrored the unwavering dedication she showed to her loved ones.
Amongst Alice's favorite joys in life were the graceful hummingbirds that fluttered around her garden and the gentle purrs of her beloved feline companions. These small yet meaningful pleasures brought light to her days and reflected the beauty she found in the world around her.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents: Freeman and Mable Riddle (Carter); brother: Virgil E. Riddle and other family members as well.
Survivors include her loving husband: George Dobbins; children: Russell Dobbins (Ruth Bennett), Lori Merithew (former daughter-in-law), Suzette (John) Yanders, Kimberly (Chris) Carney: grandchildren: Amber (Preston) Brethour, Autumn (Michael) Clancy, Megan, Allison (Dalton) Benson, Megan, Rachel, Zachary, Mya, Gracen, Reba, Michaela (Jacob) Duncan and Emily; great grandchildren: Ella, Todd, Lily, and Violet; and many other family and friends including significant others.
May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she was loved beyond measure and will be dearly missed by all.
