Alena Ann (Alexander) Albright, 85, passed away on November 26, 2018.
Alena was the youngest of nine children, born on October 21, 1933 to Henry and Anna Kramer in Fort Madison, Iowa. On June 13, 1954 she married Laurence Alexander. Laurence and Alena enjoyed raising their four children and traveling to new and exciting places. Alena worked as a registered nurse for 45 years working primarily at St. Frances Hospital in Peoria, IL and St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith, AR. After Laurence's passing she remarried her high school companion, John Albright. After moving to Kansas City, MO to be closer to her children she began attending Holy Family Catholic Church. Apart from attending the weekly church services and donating to numerous catholic charities she also enjoyed reading.
Alena is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Laurence Alexander; her husband of 5 years, John Albright; and two granddaughters, Stephanie and Alise.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Ann Pulse; her children; David (Donna) Alexander, Carol Alexander, Craig (Kathy) Alexander, and Cynda Alexander; grandchildren; Charity Alexander, Alexis Alexander, Ross Campbell, and Lyndsey Campbell; great grandchildren; Ja'Nessa, Khryee Jr., and Ja'Ziah Stickley, Kahlei and Amaleigh Campbell, Scarlett Sappington, and Noé Santana; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 6:30 pm, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial will be on Saturday, December 1st at 9:30 am at Terrace Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
