Alayna Robin Shelley, 14, of Kansas City, MO, passed away at KU Medical Center on Thursday, December 22, 2016. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on June 12, 2002 to Timothy and Liana (Milligan) Shelley.
Alayna was born a fighter at 9 weeks early along with her triplet siblings. She attended Nashua Elementary, New Mark Middle School and was a freshman at Staley High School. She was very creative and loved painting, drawing, taking pictures, and scrapbooking. She had an intense love for cats. She was very kind and loved her family and friends. She was very funny and silly and loved to make people laugh. Her smile lit up the room. She fought bravely against leukemia for 9 months before passing in her family’s arms.
She leaves behind her parents, siblings Jack, Emma and Amanda and her cat Sydney; Grandparents: Jack and Frances (King) Milligan and Marcia (Gordon) Shelley; Great-Grandpa Donald Gordon; Aunts and Uncles: Laurie (Milligan) and Doug Wilson, Robin (Brasher) and Joe Heckelbeck, Duane Brasher and Mary Sumrall, Heather (Martin) and Ryan Reynolds; Cousins: Alex and Tyler Wilson, Bailey DeFries, Lauren Brasher and Sydney Reynolds; and a host of extended family, friends and neighbors.
