Alan Roth, 61, of Kansas City, MO passed away on January 17, 2020. Alan was born on January 7, 1959 in Kansas City, MO to Richard and Lenora Roth. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Central Missouri State. Soon after graduating, he began his lifelong career in law enforcement working a short time for the Gladstone and Parkville Police Departments and then for 25 years with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department. Alan received his private pilot’s license, as well as his UAV license for flying drones. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and took trips all over the United States with his children hunting, camping and canoeing. He also spent a lot of quality time on his farm and enjoyed mowing, tinkering with mechanics , and setting off fireworks. Alan is preceded in death by his parents and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his children, Maggy, Mason, and Emma Roth; grandchildren, Zoey and Easton; and sister, Vickie Rabideaux. A Celebration of Life will be held at Northland Cathedral Church (101 NW 99th St, Kansas City, MO 64155) on Friday, January 24th at 1:00pm, with a visitation from 10:00am to 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation or to Answering the Call.
