Agnes Comstock, 81, Kansas City Mo. entered Heaven into her Lord and Saviors' care on January 31, 2022. Agnes was a resident of Northland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center since 2021.
She was born February 3, 1941 to Edwin and Lorna Freier in Miles City, Montana, where she grew up and later married Charles W. Comstock and moved to Kansas City, MO. They had two son Charles E. Comstock and Burt W. Comstock.
Agnes was a proud mom of her two boys and you could always hear her bragging on them no matter the conversation.
Agnes was very active throughout her entire life, always finding something to be a part of, including plays, choirs, Easter pageants, scouting, PTA, bowling and various committees. She especially enjoyed singing. She was a member of the Northland Chapter of Sweet Adelines for several years. She also obtained the Award of Merit in Scouting.
As a young lady Agnes accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, and being as active as she was nothing could keep her from her desire to follow Him. She participated in several Easter pageants at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, singing in the choir and portraying Mary, the mother of Jesus.
She was an active member of Living Word Community Church, Gladstone, Mo. where she was known by all as Mom. She also served on the hospitality committee and as an usher/greeter. No matter where she was she always made time for the Lord.
She was employed most of her life working in various career choices with the majority in administration/secretarial.
She always had a smile for everyone and a hand to help anyone who needed. She was a dog lover and cherished the 17 years she had with her beloved dog Bandit.
Agnes is preceded in death by her parents Lorna and Edwin Freier, siblings; Forence Yablonski, Shirley Neuman, Robert Freier and Harold Freier. She is survived by her two sons Charles Comstock (Jeff Greek), Burt Comstock and Pastor and mentor Jerry Powell. A sister Eleanor Neurhor, many nieces and nephews and many life long friends.
She is loved and will be missed by all.
Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 5, 2022, with visitation from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, immediately followed by the funeral service and burial. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Living Word Community Church - Building Fund.
